DOM CICCHETTI

For over 25 years, Domenic Cicchetti has been a dynamic force in the music world, excelling as a performing musician, recording artist, composer, educator, and musical instrument product specialist. His journey began at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft under the tutelage of the acclaimed Madam Charloff. Domenic’s career took off with his 1979 debut recording “Sunrise” on the Arista label.

Following his debut, Domenic continued to push boundaries with his 2008 release, “Mirage,” a 12-track collaboration with guitarist Bill Washer. In 2015, he unveiled “Open Road,” an album brimming with original jazz, R&B and vocal compositions that embody a heartfelt tribute to the greats who influenced him, including Bill Evans, Chick Corea, and Herbie Hancock.

Looking ahead, Domenic’s most ambitious project yet, “Candy Apple,” is set to release in 2025. The album, a culmination of his diverse music journey, opens with the smooth jazz track “Jump To It,” featuring an all-star ensemble: Dave Weckl on drums, Paula Atherton on saxophone, Jerry Vivino on woodwinds, Jon Herington on guitar, David Finck & Paul Adamy on bass, and Bill Hayes on percussion. Their undeniable chemistry promises a memorable experience for fans of the genre.

Domenic Cicchetti, has worked in the music industry for more than twenty five years as a performing musician, recording artist, composer, educational clinician, and musical instruments product specialist. After studying at Berklee College of Music, during which time he took private lessons with the famed piano teacher Madam Charloff, Domenic launched his recording career with the 1979 release of “Sunrise” on the Arista record label. He has a book published with Alfred Publishing entitled “Memories of Places and Times”, and his most recent recording “Open Road”, is a collection of original compositions he considers somewhat of an homage to such influential artists as Bill Evans, Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dom has shared the stage with musical icons including Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Diana Ross, Sammy Davis Jr., and Liza Minnelli, gracing renowned venues like Carnegie Hall, the London Palladium, and even The White House. His remarkable versatility has allowed him to seamlessly transition from jazz and pop standards to rock, performing alongside legends like Meatloaf, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and Jason Mraz, showcasing his adaptability and range.

Dom’s talents extend beyond the stage. His music has been featured in high-profile TV and film projects, including NBC Sports, “All My Children”, “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” and the Robert DeNiro classic, “A Bronx Tale,” where his piano performance enhances the timeless track “I Only Have Eyes for You” alongside saxophonist Gerry Niewood.

In addition to his impressive musical contributions, Domenic’s reflective passion shines in his book, “Memories of Places and Times” (Alfred Publishing), where he explores the pivotal moments that shaped his life as a musician.
